About us
At the Institute of Human Sciences we pursue research in established fields on a broad range of topics concerning humanity and the environment, interdisciplinary research combining several of these fields, and “trans-disciplinary research” in which new methodologies are explored while practical research is conducted with the aim of solving various pressing social problems. Recently our trans-disciplinary research has focused on practical issues referred to as “human services,” and we have engaged in the creation of a new academic discipline (“science for human services”) capable of facilitating functional collaboration between different sectors such as universities and localities, individuals and social systems, and theory and implementation.
