INUI, Akinori

Institute of Human Sciences, Visiting Researcher

After working in University administration (Bukkyo University, The Consortium Kyoto of Universities of Kyoto) for fifteen years, in 2004 continued on to Kyoto University of Art and Design teaching Project Based Learning and focusing on Faculty Development. Currently holds a research position at Ritsumeikan University since April of 2011.

At Ristumeikan University my research focuses on the theorization and practice of Career Support for university and graduate students through the utilization of Active Learning Based Projects. In conducting Career Support for university and graduate students, I applied the practice of self determination (with the inclusion of support) based on positive reinforcement; a methodology based on the accumulated study of handicapped persons within the department of Science for Human Services. In addition, comparing and examining the methodology for both handicapped persons and university students.

Basing my research on the above projects and research, I continue to pursue the development and innovation of this field and the transition from “Science for Human Service” to “Learner’s Science.”
